An exciting opportunity to join the Technical Team at Orkney Ferries as 
an Engineer – Ship & Shore �� has arisen!
Applications are invited from candidates with either:
· STCW III/2 Chief Engineer up to 9000kw/ near coastal area or further 
advanced, or
· STCW III/2 (or 3) Second Engineer up to 6000Kw/ near costal or
· STCW III/1 Engineer Officers of the Watch unrestricted.
Where applicable, training to gain the higher classification may be 
provided to the suitable candidate. Those who qualifications have lapsed 
may also be considered and training provided.
The leave/work rota is based on 2 weeks on duty, 2 weeks on leave, when 
ship based, otherwise a 37 hour, 5 day week, when shore based; with pro 
rata holiday entitlement as per administration staff.
