Want to train to become a marine mammal medic and become part of the 
BDMLR Orkney team but live in the isles so transport and overnight stays 
are an issue?
We are delighted to announce we have a full wet course at Scapa beach, 
Kirkwall on Saturday 8th July 2023 designed around the North Isles ferry 
timetables. Full details and online booking is available if you follow

Lectures will be online and information regarding these will be sent to 
you before the course date. The course date itself will be practical 
only covering whale, dolphin and seal rescue techniques.
Course Information: Saturday 8 July 2023. Please arrive at 11am for a 
11.30am start. Transport can be arranged from the pier to Scapa and 
return so travel as a foot passenger is possible. Please let us know via 
DM if this would be required.
We are delighted to have received funding for local residents so the 
usual course fee of £115 has been subsidised and the course is offered 
at a one-off price of £85.
