[Stronsaylimpet] Wildflower recording project

Wildflowers on Stronsay - as part of the Stronsay wildlife recording 
project we are having a day on wildflowers on Friday 7th. John Crossley 
the botanical recorder for Orkney is coming to join us and it will be a 
great opportunity to learn more about our wildflowers. We will meet at 
the Vat car pull in at 10 am and have a close look at the flowers on the 
maritime heath by the coast - then we will go to Rothiesholm beach car 
park in the afternoon where we will do a survey of the grassland next to 
the car park. This will be the northernmost grassland surveyed as part 
of the UK Big Meadow Search this year. All are welcome and you don’t 
need to be an expert in wildflowers - just interested/ interested to 
learn more. You could join us for the whole day or just part. Fingers 
crossed the forecast is for improving weather.
