[Stronsaylimpet] To all vehicle drivers

This a polite request to all vehicle drivers.
Yesterday evening, our dog, Coco Pop, was hit by a tractor outside our 
house. It was entirely our fault, we are usually so careful about the 
gate being shut, but this time we both forgot that it wasn't. Pops saw 
this opportunity and ran out into the road just as a tractor was passing.
Fortunately it must have been a glancing knock because she is OK apart 
from a couple of grazes.
The tractor driver may not even have realised that they hit her as they 
didn't stop. In Scotland it is a legal requirement to stop and report an 
accident with a dog.
In the current good weather there are children playing outside through 
the village, which is lovely to see, cyclists, walkers and pets, all of 
which are precious.
Please will all drivers be aware of the 20 mile an hour speed limit and 
keep an eye out for unexpected hazards.
