<p>The Past, Present, Future Art Workshop took place on 09 July, and
was attended by Stronsay residents whose ages were wide-ranging!
Imagine the kinds of memories that were conjured, from WWII
international service and first television, to the futuristic
reality of actually texting on a cell phone to Australia to
complete a momentary \u201cSecret Square\u201d assignment efficiently. The
Community Centre\u2019s large LED screen provided a dynamic visual
aspect to the lessons. Prehistoric cave art and modern quilting
images suggested that \u201cfollowing the lines\u201d has always been useful
in realizing ideas. Most importantly, we considered that, in order
to succeed, an artist must measure technically, visually and
emotionally. Looking forward to our next workshop 06 August. It
will be held in the same location, but we\u2019ll be peering through a
completely different creative window, suitably entitled Polished
Pastels. No art skills necessary!</p>
