in two parts. At 10am in the church and then at 10.55am at the
War Memorial, when we will observe along with the national
practice two minutes silence and lay wreaths on behalf of our
community. It’s a challenging and uncomfortable time once again
in our world, and we should think our own thoughts as we
remember and reflect. We may may feel challenged in our
remembering not to ignore what is going on, but to be open to
the lessons and people from the past who pass the torch of hope
and peacemaking on to us. In church, we will hear words from of
old and from Jesus challenging us still to believe in and work
for the possibility of peace, but also to recognize, and deal
with realities of human evil ; how?. Might it include people
opening up more to others who are different to us ?? We will
have coffee and tea after the War Memorial service in the
community hall about 11.15pm. All welcome
