    Thank you to everyone who has shown such kindness, love and support

    to both John and I since the attempted fuel theft at the weekend. We

    know that there has been some speculation about what we have managed

    to recover from our CCTV. At the moment we have been told not to

    reveal what, if anything we have found. What we would like to do is

    offer the person(s) involved a chance to get in touch with us

    regarding the incident. (48 hours should be sufficient). We have had

    to replace the broken fuel cap at a cost of £50.00 and are still

    waiting for quotes to repair the damage caused to our other vehicle.

    doubt as to whether we have cctv, here is a nice still of John! This

    camera covers the front but for obvious security reasons we won't be

    revealing where the others are! <br>

    Its sad that this doesn't appear to be an isolated incident on the

    island  Cctv cameras these days are very cheap (ours cost less than

    £25 on Amazon and has night vision too! We even get an alert when

    the camera picks something up). If anyone would like details of the

    camera, please get in touch.<br>

    <p>Finally, we know that this incident doesn't in anyway reflect the

      vast majority of hard working Stronsay residents. Its a shame that

      the island is spoiled by incidents such as this..</p>
