<p>Around 160 Orkney households applied for the £200 OIC cash award
on day one of the application process.<br>
The vast majority of those applications were made online – with
most encountering no issues. A few folk did have problems when
entering a bank account sort code – however, that was quickly
resolved once staff were made aware.<br>
Remember if you do have any issues or need support when applying,
please give our Customer Services Teams a call - in Kirkwall on
873535 or Stromness on 850907 - or pop in by the receptions. They
are ready to assist as we want to ensure that every household who
is entitled to this cost of living grant receives it.<br>
There will be working households out there who have never received
benefits before who will be entitled to this award due to low
incomes so, please take a look or enquire. We don’t want anyone
missing out.<br>
If you do encounter a problem when applying online, please let us
know so we can resolve it as quickly as possible.<br>
