It was an SCAA helicopter that transported me from Stronsay to ARI last 
year when I needed a pacemaker at short notice; many other residents of 
Stronsay have had a similar experience.

I trust this email finds you well.

My name is Michael Hanratty, I’m the Community Fundraising Officer for 
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance covering Highlands & Islands. I’ve 
travelled to Orkney this week and I wanted to share some information 
with you.

We will be hosting numerous community awareness events from the 27^th to 
the 29^th March and a few of these are open to the public, I would love 
it if you were able to attend any of these. These events are largely to 
raise awareness of SCAA and our operations in Orkney, we will have 
limited amounts of branded merchandise available at each event.

*Friday 27^th 6pm at Cromarty Hall – St Margaret’s Hope*

*Saturday 28^th 10am till 4pm at (Orkney Harbours Office) Kiln Corner – 
Kirkwall*

*Sunday 29^th 10am at Burray Community Hall – Burray*

*Sunday 29^th 3pm at Deerness Distillery - Deerness*

Orkney is a key operational area for SCAA will over 220 missions taking 
place there in the last six years. We want to interact with as many 
Orcadians as possible to share the story of SCAA and to thank those that 
have raised funds.

I would love it if you at able to make it along to one of these events, 
however the Saturday event in Kirkwall is the first of its kind for SCAA 
and we want this to be as successful as possible, at this event we will 
have a raffle, children’s activities, information stand and a 
merchandise stand with our mascot Nevis hoping  to make an appearance.

All of these events are free and the Kirkwall event is a drop in event.

If you are unable to join us, could I ask you to share this information 
with people within your community.
