Hello All,
As mentioned by the Stronsay Community Council the Emergency Resilience 
Group has been called following public feedback and the current 
challenges raised in the Stronsay Community.
While we can not help the weather, the group will endeavour to work 
towards ways in which we can alleviate the current challenges around 
fuel, food, other essential supplies and how the travel situation is 
impacting Stronsay Residents.
One way we can support is through providing a warm hub. Thank you to 
Stronsay Hotel who have offered to be open during the day to provide 
somewhere to sit in the warmth for those who need it. They will also 
provide a free portion of soup and a roll, and hot drink or squash per 
person, per day. This will continue for Thursday, Friday and Saturday 
and then will be reviewed as the situation unfolds.
Thank you also to Viv who has offered to make bread rolls for the hotel.
The Stronsay Development Trust, Community Council and Community 
Association will work towards the plans in place. We are following the 
procedures to support the community.
