Motivation Monday🌾 Have Your Say – The Future of the Old Mill!
Stronsay Development Trust has been offered the opportunity to purchase 
the Meikle Meal Mill — a beautiful historic building on the south-west 
edge of Mill Bay.
Before we discuss this further at our next Board meeting, we want and 
warmly welcome our community’s views on this opportunity.
Built in the early 1800s and worked for generations by the Chalmers 
family, the Old Mill was the last working mill in Orkney when it closed 
in 1972. It is believed to be a Category B listed building, and we have 
the seller’s permission to post and share this opportunity.
