at just before 10:00am on Sunday 5 October.
The Orkney Local Emergency Coordination Group met this morning to assess
any impacts from the storm. Key things to note are:
👉The Amber weather warning was lifted at 21:00 last night - we are
still in a Yellow weather warning for wind until lunchtime today though.
👉Transport is starting to return to normal - public buses are running
again, as are ferries. Please check with your provider before setting
out though.
👉The Civic Amenity sites at Hatston and Garson have reopened.
👉There are some power issues in Westray and Papay - SSEN engineers hope
to be on site shortly to carry out repairs.
