Over a number of years, we’ve been engaging with Scottish Government to 
tackle the challenge of replacing our ageing ferry fleet, looking at how 
the Government might support us in our replacement plans
In November 2023 – through the Ferries Taskforce - the Scottish 
Government made funding available to the Council to build an agreed 
business case for ferry replacement ⛴🔨
