Loganair- Air discount scheme (ADS) and inter island discounts.
I thought with a number of new people on the island and as a general 
reminder it might be helpful to give the following information:
If you are an Orkney resident you can apply for the Air discount scheme 
(ADS). This gives you 50% off the fare cost between Kirkwall and all 
Scottish airports. To register call the ADS Team on  Freephone 0800 032 
2890 or email info at airdiscountscheme.com.
If you are using the inter-island “peedie” plane, fares from Stronsay to 
Kirkwall are currently £19 per adult return. If you are travelling from 
Kirkwall to Stronsay as the first part of your return,  the fare is 
double. However, if  you are over 60 then if you book by phone you will 
get the return discount of £19. Please note that you cannot get the 
discount when booking on line. If you do not know when you will use the 
return part (from Stronsay to Kirkwall) just ask for an open return 
(valid for three months) you then need to book the date you later decide 
on. Alternatively, you can book any date in the next three months and 
later change that date by logging on to Manage My Booking on the 
Loganair website orkneyres at loganair.co.uk Open return tickets are only 
bookable by calling Logan air on 01856 872494. It’s also worth 
remembering that Logan air occasionally have sales e.g. Easter sale is 
now on.  So, consider booking now to save on fares.  Fly Flex and Fly 
Flex+ allow you to change dates through Manage My Booking.
