[Stronsaylimpet] S1 pupils - making & selling soap

A message from S1:
Stronsay s1 pupils have participated in a term-long project. We would 
like to thank Cooke Aquaculture for the funding that made us be able to 
complete this project. The original funding was put into soap making 
which was extremely fun. We then packaged and sold the soaps and made 
about £227. The money we made from the soap was put towards buying 
personalised gifts for people who were nominated by others. Most of them 
were for people who have made a big impact on the island. Some of the 
gifts include: chocolates, shirts, biscuits, tea and other personal 
gifts. Once again we would like to thank Cooke Aquaculture for the 
funding. .������������
And a little message from me:
Students have worked hard this term to develop technical, 
entrepreneurial, and social skills.
We started with the soap making (thanks to a grant from Cooke and 
inspiration from Mrs McLay) and the students decided that the profits 
should be used to give back to the community.
We've been able to create 10 'little bags of happiness' (we hope). 
Recipients have been nominated by family, friends, and/or students.
We are still waiting on one or two bits but I'm hoping all bags with be 
distributed by the end of the week
