SNOW UPDATE WEDNESDAY 17th 2.40PM
Only essential travel is advised over the next 24 to 36 hours due to the 
Amber weather warning in place from 3pm today until 6pm Thursday.
All schools, nurseries and Orkney College will remain closed on Thursday.
The Islands Council offices at School Place are closing at 3pm today and 
will remain closed on Thursday.
The decisions and travel advice are being issued following a meeting of 
Orkney’s Local Emergency Coordination Group this lunchtime.
