*Help save the Screen Machine: write to your MP*

Screen Machine in Bettyhill - we'll next be there on 18 and 19

We're pleased that BBC Scotland has today extensively covered the plight 
of the Screen Machine and our request that customers and supporters 
write to their MSPs to tell them to provide 50% of the funding for a new 
cinema. Without this, the service will be wound down from April 2024.

You'll be hearing more on BBC Radio Scotland news bulletins, plus we 
hope on Reporting Scotland at 6.30pm and on STV Scotland Tonight. Much 
of the filming for the BBC took place at Ullapool on Thursday - huge 
thanks to those of you who were happy to be interviewed. There has been 
additional coverage in national and local newspapers.

Now is the time to put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard, and write 
to your MSP. Here's a reminder from our last newsletter on how to do this.

*Write to your MSP, MP or councillor, and to the First Minister, Cabinet 
Secretary for Culture and Council Leader. For full guidance on how to do

At the moment, our primary objective is securing 50% of the cost from 
the Scottish Government, so the best thing you can do is contact your 
MSP. Donations will be better served once this is in place and we have 
started our fundraising campaign.
