[Stronsaylimpet] Prkject Neptune - future provision of ferry services

Chair of the Independent Ferries Community Board, Angus Campbell, will 
be in Orkney on Wednesday 3 May to listen to people’s views on the 
Scottish Government’s Project Neptune and the future of local ferry 
services.
As well as meeting with local Councillors, external transport forum 
stakeholders, and Stromness Community Council, there will be a couple of 
drop-in sessions for residents:
• St Magnus Centre, Kirkwall from 4pm-5pm
• Stromness Community Centre, Church Road, Stromness from 7pm-8pm.
Project Neptune is a piece of consultancy commissioned by the Scottish 
Government to consider the best arrangements for future provision of 
ferry services.
Following on from the publication of the Project Neptune report the 
Transport Minister committed to a full consultation process with 
communities to discuss the report’s findings and seek views on the 
structures needed in delivering future ferry services.
