A big thank you to Craig Weaver for fixing the Greenhouse door I know
how busy he is and it is appreciated.
Its coming to that time of year again when we send out the paperwork for
the plots, we have a few people giving plots up and a number of people
on the waiting list so should be another happy growing year for the
greenhouse, if you are thinking of giving your plot up and havnt yet
spoken with me please get in touch or respond to the paperwork whe it
arrives.
There is plenty going on to the rear of the greenhouse with the mini
greenhouse and the space around being utilised by the Natural wellbeing
project. expansion plans for the back are still going ahead and we are
just awaiting the additional funds needed to get the work done as well
as some decent weather.
in the coming few weeks you will also see that the compost bins will be
removed, the path and communal area within the greenhouse will be
repaired and new bark will be laid (awaiting immanent arrival of bark
bags). the shed has been undergoing repairs/ work and will hopefully
open soon as a community fridge and larder, guttering and the rain water
collection will also be restored as the weather allows access and
finally the car park and front area will also receive a bit of care and
attention.
The goal is to have new compost bins that will be tumblers so that
everyone can access and use easily, trees planted in the extension and
new outdoor allotments made available. We hope to create a well used and
loved community space to carry on the good work that has been done over
the years so far. Thank you to everyone that has continued to care for
the plots and the greenhouse.
