If that is a picture of the old kirkyard beyond Seafield , the last
person to be buried there was Elisa Peace, she lived in the house next
door to the Big Hoose at the Station, had no relatives and Jock Mitchell
made a coffin for her, a few people laid her to rest my Dad included? It
was a bad site for a kirkyard as it was real biggie.

Hi Margaret,my Mum is 102 and she told me years ago that my Dad paid for
her funeral and was there. He was her nephew. She also told me when they
got married Lisa’s present to them was a peedie henhoose and six hens.
She said it was the best present they got. She also wheeled it from the
Station to Hoosebay on a wheelbarrow! They don’t make them like that
nowadays!.
