We have a couple of announcements, ��
•Unfortunately this week our kitchen will not be open.
•It will reopen for afternoon teas on the 19th
~This will be the last one until into the new year~
•And then will open again for Friday night Takeaways on the 22nd and the 
29th.

Very exciting announcement!! ��
✨We would like to welcome our new head chef Avril Kent to the hotel 
team, she has been more than excellent so far and we feel she will be an 
asset to the hotel going forward, heres a peedie introduction from 
herself, ✨
Hello, as a few of you may know I’ve been appointed as the head chef at 
the Stronsay Hotel.
I have previous experience working as a pastry chef for two years at a 
five star venue in Sussex, during this time I also ran afternoon tea and 
assisted with event meals. This position is really exciting for me, I 
grew up in Stronsay and after returning home more recently, I have 
remembered just how much I love the island and all it has to offer.
I’m very excited to be a part of the team here at the Hotel, and look 
forward to building it into a place that locals can come and enjoy good 
food.
I have lots to learn and over the next few weeks I will be creating 
menus that I believe reflect the needs of the community here in Stronsay 
and the people that visit.

feel at home. We can’t wait to see what new and exciting ideas she comes 
up with!
